Stop smoking


Smoking is one of the most potent precipitating risk factors of heart problems. Cigarette chemicals contribute to the narrowing of the blood vessels hence increasing the workload of the heart.


Manage your stress


Stress inhibits hormones that could lead to increased strain to the heart. The body only allows moderate stress for our fight and flight mechanism. There are numerous interventions one can use to decrease or eliminate stress like engaging in healthy activities such as Yoga, exercise, meditation and many more. These activities activate the release of endorphins which helps heart health.


Healthy weight


Maintaining a healthy weight keeps your heart from drastic body changes. Both obesity and sudden extreme weight loss can contribute to heart diseases. Maintaining your ideal weight decreases the risk of heart damage or fatigue.
 

Fruits and Vegetables


Who suggests that eating at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day can put your heart into a healthy shape.

 

Less salt diet


Salt increases the affinity to water hence in increases intravascular volume which increases the heart's workload causing fatigue and eventually damage. Thus decreasing salt will definitely prevent heart diseases.
